    I think fundamentally I just don't like 4WD performance cars. They just don't tickle my pickle like RWD :)

    I would have an i30N over a Renault any day.

    Having had a couple of Renault Sport models in the past (Clio 172 Cup and Megane RS230 F1), they just don't do it for me, that said I did like my R19 16v Chamade, but then I only paid £300 for that one :muttley:

    A mate also recently bought a Megane RS250 Cup, he really really wanted one, found the best one he could and sold it within a month as he couldn't get on with it either lol.

    I’ve put the M Performance kit on my M135ix which I collected just over 4 weeks ago, including the rear wing. I feel like a kid again.

    It’s great, tech is fantastic, seats are awesome, it’s my fun daily.

    Admittedly there are a lot of haters of the front end and pictures do portray it that way. But in the flesh I’m unsure where all the hate is generated from

    @stuartk

    I’d have to with the A35 suggestions - you could I think get into one via CarWow for not much more than your budget on finance I suspect.

    very good little cars, quick and with fantastic interiors making it a very good daily driver.

    Old A45 is as others have described a rather dull proposition. New one however is an utterly mental proposition and quite different to the 35 but not cheap.

    All that said nobody ever went wrong with a good condition well looked after Golf R

    @Aquarius21

    Four USB ports in the car if it has Premium Pack, 1 in front under the dash next to the wireless charger, 2 in the central armrest and 1 in the rear centre console

    BUT not obvious as all are the newer slim USB C connection as opposed to the traditional USB A sockets.

    You need some of these to adapt A to C

    Do I remember correctly that you were about to take delivery of an A45 plus? If so how have you found it?

    We are on a M car forum.... why hasn’t anyone mentioned the M2? I know it’s not a hot hatch but it’s a good drive, decent tech, looks brilliant and should cover all bases.
    If it was me that’s where I would put my money.
