My car currently has black heated seats, but I've found a full bamboo interior for £500 that lack the heated part.
In reality, do the heated seats really add much value to the car? Personally I don't care if I have them or not but that's just my opinion as I'd much rather have Interlagos/Bamboo than Interlagos/Black! I just don't want to shoot myself in the foot by getting rid if it commands a particular value (unlikely I think, but I need to check).

    Any ideas folks?

Maybe a tad harder to sell, I wouldn't buy an M3 without them, but I doubt much
    change in value...

i had a few people apparently rule my car out when I was selling it due to lack of heated seats, but then I don't think they were that serious

Bamboo will affect the value as it’s very marmite and not a lot of people like it. I also wouldn’t by an M3 without heated seats. It’s a luxury cay, not a Ford Focus, and people expect basic spec.

I’d say keep the black heated leather all day long, you’d be mad to fit non- heated bamboo!

I wouldn't buy a car without them now. Can't you just hang onto your old seats and put them back in when you sell?

Imo, going from heated black to non heated bamboo is a double whammy and you will struggle to find a buyer who has the same preference. I'd keep the spare seats to put back in before you sell.

Storage space is the issue for me atm, that's the problem :( Or should I say 'safe' storage space.

It's your car mate, do to it what you want to do.

Deal with selling it when the time comes.

Personally I'd expect heated seats in a 3er, M or not. It wouldn't necessarily be a deal breaker but it's a glaring omission on the spec sheet, and the bamboo leather is very marmite.

But, as has been said, it's your car, you're not paying for it so someone might like it in the future. Enjoy it now!

Not bad advice to be fair. Could always swap again come sale time.

Yes as mentioned above I wouldn't by a car without heated seat or one with bamboo leather.

I for one would definitely not buy a car without heated seats. And I feel I’m not alone here...

I’d buy a car without heated seats if everything else was ok. I have them and use them a lot in the winter but could go without if I had too. However, I wouldn’t entertain a car with bamboo interior.

It seems like a large majority are against getting rid of heated seats, which is quite surprising really. I've never been arsed about them! I think Cossie has made the right point to me though... it's my car and I love Interlagos/Bamboo so I think I'll still head down this route, but rather than making the money back off my heated black seats I will just store them as a friend has offered to store the majority of the interior and I'll try and house the last little part!

Surprised there's so much dislike for Bamboo though... do you guys not like light interiors in the cars or do you just not like that particular colour out of interest?

Also, thanks for all the replies.

Bamboo is fine...……. if you are over 85, or want it to match your hearing aid..

Also try painting your car champagne gold/beige to match the bamboo and a tartan rug on the back seats !

When I was looking to buy, heated seats were one of my 'must have' options.
