Handbrake shoes!

    Hi Guys!
    Tried today to carry out 'simple' replacement of handbrake shoes. (as it was a nice day!!!)
    Removed calliper and allen screw from hub, however, unable to get disc/hub off.
    I have wound the shoe 'adjuster' to 'close shoes, although it rotates, disc will not move!
    Have I missed something??

    You sure the handbrake is slack, can you rotate the hub? Soak it with wd 40 internaly and exterrnaly . A few good blows with a mallet should free it off.

    Handbrake is 'off' and adjuster nuts are loose! hub/disc spins freely, but refuses to come off! I think I may have to invest is a puller!!

    If it's free then as I said soak it over night, a few heavy hits should free it off.

    Ordered a hub puller! Just hope weather stays dry when it turns up!!!!!!
