ZED coding did GTS flash on my 16CP and it made a massive difference, very pleased I was.

I believe it’s Adam that can be rude & obnoxious, is that right? His rep over on Bimmerpost completely put me off.
I therefore only have experience with Zed, who has always been perfect.

No issues whatsoever. Was really helpful and quite accommodating as I had to change timings with him.

I had my previous M4 GTS coded, not by Zed, and I too didn't notice any difference.

Again, I would go back and ask them to check it.

It has been known for the coding to not take occasionally, but it's also possible that both cars had been coded previously so in that case you wouldn't notice any difference as your car(s) already had the coding done.

What are the main benefits does it stop the annoying hopping in first gear? Going to get mine done at Litchfield next month

it’s one of the benefits. Faster up and down shifts compared to stock

It also has the GTS burbles if that’s your thing.

No it doesn't, not with the DCT gearbox flash.
Burbles is through DME programming - Mapping.

I thought on CP cars the flash matched the burbles to the GTS. Maybe I am wrong, I swear there louder than they used to be. Probably just me.

Burbles, start-up roar, it's all artificially programmed into the engine mapping. Absolutely nothing to do with DCT, regardless of car model :D

Sounds like this is definitely the next job for me then.

I had the engine mapped which has obviously made it noticeably quicker but seems to have made setting off and low speed changes more kangaroo-ey if that makes sense. Anything other than efficient mode is pretty much undriveable at low speeds.

Does anyone know of anyone in the North West that can do this?

The places mentioned and a Google search seem to only bring up Birmingham or down south.

If you get in touch with Zed he does this remotely. All you need is a laptop and he will send you the cable.

Well put it like this, if you fart in a BMW and use anything other than a BMW air freshener then the warranty is void. :muttley:
