I needed to replace some rusty springs so fitted some -30mm front and -20mm rear lowering springs while I had the chance, but now it’s all back together it’s developed a front end knock on larger bumps like speed bumps, also knocks sometimes when on full lock corners. Everything is tight and no play that I can find, but to me it sounds like it’s coming from the top mounts rather than down the bottom, I didn’t replace the top mounts as they looked fine, could this be the problem?
Anyone else had a similar problem?
FYI the rear has no knocks and is all fine.
    Cheers

Could very well be the top shock nut.

Could be a worn bush on the lower arm that is noisier now you've fitted stiffer springs

Put 2 new wishbones on last week after advisory on MOT, so hopefully they’re all okay

How old are your front shocks? Stiffer and lowered spring's will bring out any weakness in the shocks. Also check the drop links are tight.

Check the anti roll bar isn’t binding when the suspension is down, I had some shorter links on mine for coil overs and they knocked like mad when back up at Eibach height, you might need shorter ones

Not sure on shock age, only bought the car in October but they both seemed to be in good condition, no leaks etc but could be a weakness like you say
