Fit a sat nav in and replace business CD

    Hi guys i'm looking to buy a 06 plate e46 m3 Manuel
    It's good condition 90k miles It doesn't have the sat nav
    Only the CD player is it possible to fit a android sat nav in its place I would like to know if the connections are there all ready and most importantly is it worth doing thank you any help much appreciated

    Yes it's worth doing and perfectly possible. Many have done it :)

    Wiring is all there, though you'll need a heater control relocation panel and a specific wiring loom adapter to fit the new head unit. Search on here or via google, it's a common upgrade!

    One of the best quality Android head units seems to be the Parrot Asteroid :thumbsup:

    You can go for the Parrot Asteroid or Alpine ILX-700 to which you do not need to cut any of the heater bits etc. And if you got the business cd player upfront then all the cables are there for the new unit.

    I have recently fitted an Alpine ILX to mine that DID have sat nav and it was a pain in the back side (check out the last page on my journal for more info).

    any tips ive just put a new thread in the main page i have the bmw satnav and replacing with a new unit but i only have 2 connectors to the old headunit and neither of them will fit with anything for the new one ?
    please had a look in the main section or i can post the same thing here
    sorry to hijack but this is similar to my issue
