Fitted my Active Autoworke single mid-pipe last weekend. Oh. My. God.

    Transformed.

Previously had fully decatted with a custom X pipe in place of the middle resonator, using the standard backbox. Now I have decat downpipes and the AA midpipe, still with stock rear box. It's an absolute game changer. Sounds bloody awesome!

I’d like to go with a setup like this. How do you find it with no cats? Is the exhaust smell bad?

You can certainly smell it. Obviously in the garage it's pretty pungent, and I'll get occasional wiffs pulling up to traffic lights etc if the wind if from the rear of the car. But it's not exactly bad. I don't even think about the smell to be honest, in the scheme of things, it's really not that important (to me anyway). :)

The midpipe is very expensive for what it is (£1000+ for essentially what is a few bits of tube), but when you get it you won't feel quite as bad. It's exceptionally well made and finished and fits absolutely perfectly as if OEM.

change back box to mpe and make it even nicer.
however mpe + mid pipe+ down pipe , no cats. there is a terrible rattle between 1000 - 1700 rpm. like overmodified corsa sound

Wastegates / exhaust flaps rattling? I get a fair rattle on startup since the downpipes.

I can not differentiate to be honest, they sound more or like the same. but it sounds different than startup rattle.

there seems to be leak after aa midpipe and aftermarket decatted downpipe. I will fix it soon and see if it improves

mpe + aa midpipe + decatted downpipe

    reference video for sound @daggers
