Videos like this make me happy because I just bought an F82 :D

Both of the other cars are class to be fair. I’d imagine a 340i/440i with xDrive would feel just as fast or faster in a lot of situations in the real world.

Literally just finished watching this before logging in here.

Quite surprising the outcome, in all areas (except the launch of the x drive M440i). If the F82 is genuinely standard engine wise then on the basis of the basic tests they conducted, there hasn’t been the step forward in performance other videos had suggested.

Hmmm the other videos I’ve seen the new M4 drops a C63s with ease so I’m surprised at that result to be fair. The difference between the DCT and ZF was there for all to see in that.

I guess you have to ask yourself, what is it about the new M4 Comp that is so compelling you’re willing to part with almost double the fun coupons to buy it?

That my friends, is the question.

Seems clear from this the DCT is better when it's being revved out. Which others have said.

So F80 down on power by 60bhp to the G80 and the G80 only starts to come past as silly speeds which you're only ever going to hit on the autobahn.

Surprised how well the F80 got off the line. Usually on carwow they struggle to get it to launch.

This is what makes me chuckle when people state the new car is “so much faster” than the f8x it replaces.

Sure it’ll be better, it’s the NEW car! If anything though, this video shows, to me at least, that the f8x series is incredibly capable still. Not that the new one is so much better.

given that it’s not much faster at all and looks like a dogs dinner I’m going to go with people buying it because they just want the latest thing.

I went to see the new M3 yesterday in my local dealership. I thought it looked fantastic inside and out. I will get a 4 wheel drive one when they are around £50k. £80k plus is too expensive and it’s is definitely not worth more than double mine. I think my stage 1 will be quicker too....

not only the speed but i think they also exaggrate suspension and grip of the new car.
i literally close the videos when they get on the car, brand new ps4s, light throttling and say 'CAR HAS MUCH BETTER GRIP'
    oh really?

    So hold up.

An f8x Comp would beat a standard G8x! ? Maybe why they are not selling them here.

Not quite. The G80 in the UK is the comp, we don’t get the standard G80 !

But yes probably would beat the standard I guess.

That f82 is local to me and it's really loud with aggressive overrun burbles maybe it's just got an exhaust.

Neck and neck until the topend it seems.

    It is sooo much faster

I Don’t believe that the F82 was stock. Everyone with a F8x will like to think it was but we all know it’s not true

Look from 14 mins onwards. Imran seems to think a F80 would need stage 2 just to keep up with the G80

He knows a thing or two about them doesn’t he
