I’ve currently got Eissenmann downpipes, and a full titanium akrapovic exhaust fitted , recently returned from Nurburgring trip and zolder trackday , and really struggled with dB on drive by at zolder ,

Would like to know if there’s anything which is free flowing and also track friendly, what’s anybody using ?

    Cheers Anthony

I've given up at the moment. Want to do downpipes, but every exhaust will be too loud after. Need a resonated system, but most are straight through. Relying on the rear box to quiet it down in comfort mode.

I run VRSF Catless DP's and the PCW mod, very loud on WOT in Sport / Sport Plus, but when in efficiency its quiet and unnoticeable. Also worth noting I dont get any drone whatsoever. AND.....I passed my first MOT with zero issue on emissions ? Bizarre I know.

i ran mine in comfort at zolder track day , but the valves open automatic at 4000 rpm , 103 db drive by in the afternoon and got black flagged.

The supersprint exhaust looks like the best option with the resonators in the mid pipe , it says 95db on the website.

or i need to get the akro modded and resonators fitted to the mid pipe .

MPE - run it at Goodwood - no issues, even with valves wide open via my little CG Precision box.

Just cat back MPE - I am sure with DPs and an MPE you'd be screwed on most tracks.

Some downturned tips will help, but older is 95db so it may not be enough, though they don't exactly enforce it that much, like any rules at zolder :roflmao:

They were very keen last week when we were there, one warning then second time track day finished , 95db limit

I blew 96.5 on the first failure , then spent the rest of the day rolling off the throttle through the noise sensor areas. Then went flat out for the last session in the afternoon and got black flagged at 103.5

Everybody was complaining about getting sent off there was only 20 cars left on track in the afternoon

I have got virtually the same setup differing only in brand of downpipes, if you could live with unplugging the valves, would be very surprised if you had any issues on track?

I’ve spoken to peron the akro importer and they have told me to try the akro sound kit which allows you full control over the valves in any mode . Including sport plus

So I’m going to give that a try and see if it works out

Isn’t that £300 or something crazy though? Just unplug the valve actuators on the exhaust, will take all of 2 mins! However, when I did this to mine, they rattled like crazy  but were fine once plugged in again. Oh, and I still had to work to keep below the noise limit at Bedford!

I’ll give it a try before I wast money on the sound kit , Bedford is really strict on drive by , it takes a photo of your car now so there’s no way of blagging it anymore two strikes and gone at there trackdays

Ah, well not that it resolves your immediate issue, but use skylimit for zolder, they are likely cheaper and genuinely give zero ****s, that said its overtaking on both sides and under braking so you need to be comfortable with that.

Mine makes more than 95db out of the inlet

I would consider some bolt on sound suppressors if your generally happy with the exhaust otherwise, they do work alternately some bolt on downturn tips will also help.

If you're running primary and secondary decat, no resonator and the flaps open you basically have a straight through exhaust.

I'd use Carly to code the exhaust flaps on one of your M modes.

Down turned tips is a good idea, started fare on the GT3 brigade.

They should allow nice sound cars more limit :D but that'd not help us lot :roflmao:
