It was a choice of matte carbon or titanium

I think I’ll manage to live with it

For even the most hardened advocate of ‘man maths’ I think describing an exhaust as an investment might be a stretch.:muttley:

I’m surprised people are still interested in the unequal length options. To my ears the equal length options have completely changed the game. Here’s mine with AA EL midpipe, hoping to pair it with MPE in the next 2 weeks.

I’ve not heard one in the flesh but I’m not entirely convinced, makes the car sound a bit
‘Cosra’ dustbin exhaust to my ears :oops:Raspy M character is lost, probably just the downpipe a though, I’ve not heard an F8x with decays I like the sound of.

It’s VRSF downpipes, AA EL resonated mid and stock backbox.

AA do a resonated version for setups running downpipes and a non resonated version for stock downpipes.

I have a similar video just running downpipes on the same stretch of road. I would say 5-10% louder with the midpipe. With valves closed it’s still silent when cruising.

I’ll have to dig it out. I’ll have the MPE soon which should be the ultimate incarnation of this setup. When I’ve that done I’ll stick together a comparison of all 3 stages.

I’ve just had Paul carry out full PCW Exhaust Mod done this morning, secondary decat, stock resonator modified and back box modification. Sound is epic for the tiny fraction of MPE or Akro cost.

I was tempted to fit down pipes to my mpe the other week but then I watched some vids on line and changed my mind it seems to raspy and ridiculously loud tbh. PCW is not doing 200cell down pipes for s55 I might give those a go in the new year.

the lack of centre resonator of the MPE and downpipes would make for a very harsh (and loud combo without a doubt!

I’m thinking of going to an ELMP next year just not sure what rear box to pair it with atm, I quite like the idea of using the std box as it will retain the original look (I know it’s not the prettiest but it would still look factory only with improved sound) or go for an after market rear box. For me it’s really important to hear the set up in the flesh before making my mind up, buy once & all that.
Can’t wait till we can start to have some meets again so I can hear some different set ups first hand.

I would go for an equal-length Milltek system. Sub £2k through eBay sellers. :)
