Not sure why you are confused.

Eventuri is a manufacturer/distributor of its own products.

Evolve is one of many retailers of Eventuri products.

Spare parts are dealt with directly with Eventuri. This is the best and most direct route of dealing with spare parts so dealers are not tied up in raising purchase orders for things that have no margin for them.

They are under the same roof but are 2 separate companies with different employees.

Guessing it's a bit like Virgin Holidays and Virgin Atlantic scenario, same Umbrella but different companies.

Evolve (ie. Virgin Holidays) can sell you a package of tuning mods like exhausts, remaps, wheels and Eventuri... but Eventuri (Virgin Atlantic) can only sell you Eventuri however if you want spares (upgrade flights) you'd go direct.

Bit of a crap analogy but it made sense in my head

£744 including shipping. Not hard to fit would take around 30 mins to 1 hour depending on your experience.

A TUV certification means a sampling of the product has been tested for safety and found to meet the minimum requirements of the German Equipment and Product Safety Act. TUV stands for Technischer Überwachungsverein (or Technical Inspection Association in English).

Just means it meets German standards and is road legal.

In the event of a problem, you'd probably have to argue how the part doesn't affect the problem if the problem was engine/exhaust related. See here: https://forums.m3cutters.co.uk/threads/is-a-tapetty-cold-engine-common.218604/page-2. If the problem was unrelated, say rear diff or electrics for example, then your warranty claim should be an easy case.

Kingprawn has a Remus catback, had an issue with his engine (I think the Valvetronic motor) and BMW did not honour the warranty, blaming the exhaust for the issue. Me and a few other members told him to argue it, but not sure what the outcome is/was with his argument. At the moment, he is paying out of his own pocket.

Deadeye with OEM M Performance Exhaust, got his done under warranty. MPE is warranty approved. Some people on here say Akrapovic and Eventuri is warranty approved because BMW used to offer it on the F10(?) M5 as an optional package when buying the car but I haven't personally seen any proof of this. So I can't comment on Eventuri/Akra being warranty approved. At the end of the day, it'll come down to how friendly you are with your dealer and how far you want to take the argument. Some people get good courtesy cars, X5, M5, i8 and easy warranty claims, while others like me and a few other members get Mini's and hard warranty claims for trivial things. Seat bolster replacements is one example. Some people have it done under warranty, others get told no by BMW. No consistency.

If you're worried about warranty, then stick to OEM OR get it in writing from BMW/your dealer that warranty will not be affected by fitting this aftermarket part. Otherwise, roll the dice and be prepared to argue, IF something goes wrong or have a fairly straight forward warranty case. It's hard to see what problems and intake system change can cause, personally.

As a disclaimer, Evolves service is top notch, if you're worried about buying from them, don't be! Their service from initial enquiry to purchasing to being looked after on their premises and workmanship on the job in question is A1! I'd happily recommend them without any hesitation and use them again.

Thanks for taking the time out for a comprehensive reply..on the face of it the intake shouldn’t cause any adverse problems. My engine is standard..
I’ve only heard good things about Evolve so likely to hit them up in the new year
    Happy holidays

You're welcome. You're in good hands with Evolve, no doubt. Yes, on the face of it, the intakes shouldn't cause any problems but with what happened to Kingprawn and his engine warranty claim being rejected because of the exhaust, shows me that BMW, or at least, certain dealers, seem to do anything they can, to get out of the claim!

Sorry I thought I had replied.

Have a good one bud! Happy holidays and new year.
