Hi all,

I'm looking for a set of M3 competition alloy wheels for my 1M and have been offered a set of the Avantgarde M359 alloys. The rears are 10J ET25 (Which I believe is stock fitment) and the front is 9J ET15 as opposed to ET31 which is what stock would be.

Would I have any issues running this set up? I don't really want any rubbing etc.

Thanks

Keith

You would get major rubbing mate. Not suitable. Why would you fits reps anyway?

OEM fronts are 9j ET31 (rears are 10j ET25 as you say)

So 9J ET 15 would be as if you were running a 16mm spacer, and there is no room for that. I think a 1M would even struggle with a 10mm spacer, as the stock fitment is quite tight.

If you run any spacers on the front of a 1M with stock wheels you will get rubbing on the front of the arch liner when on full lock, they do a revised arch liner with flatter fins where the oil cooler vent is which stops the rubbing when running spacers with the standard wheels but the wheels your considering would definitely rub badly.

Ideally I don't want to fit reps - I'm just struggling to find a genuine set of E92 competition wheels (I believe they're the same). This was just an alternative to get me by in the mean time.

Thanks for the informative reply though - I definitely don't want any rubbing so will keep on searching for genuine items.

Thanks again

The strom reps you can get from cm wheels run the same offset as the oem wheels, loads of guys run them without any problems

Nice car :thumbsup2:

I'll be keeping them black for the moment. I will see how they look over the winter - though the car will mostly just be stood until the summer. I'll probably (90% certain) be refurbing them in the original silver finish eventually.
