My car is loud with cold start, MPE and flaps open and with GT Tube from BM3.

You guys aiming for louder? When I start the car outside my 6 year old school it's literally hilarious

Cold start is loud for sure, but you can delete cold start on BM3 or keep the flaps close if that's a concern.
I don't think MPE is excessively loud cruising around town, and also I am looking for better tone rather than volume for the sake of it, hence this thread on AA EL mid-pipes or in my case, leaning more to a fabspeed X-pipe (less rasp, and more bassy) or "custom fab" mid-pipes.

Thousands of pounds on an exhaust to make a car that cost tens of thousands of pounds sound like a £500 Vauxhall Corsa driving around the Trafford Centre with no rear silencer.

It sounds a shyte load better than stock.

A massive single pipe like the R32/3/4 GTR would work too.

You don't have to increase the diameter by much to doublet he area.

Can you even get them in the uk ?

Just got a quote from UK Fabspeed reseller - roughly £1.5k inc all taxes, customs and shipping. Roughly 8 weeks lead time.

IIRC, someone in America did that and his S55 now sounds like a 2JZ. I'll have to try and find the video, it's on YouTube somewhere.

Did you cut it in the end? Am struggling as well whether I should cut mine and if so what midpipe should I be fitting with the MPE.

I did .. swallowed a brave pill and went for it. measure twice cut once n all that. Keep the mid section you took out and if you're ever wanting to listen to shyte exhaust sounds again , sleeve the cut section in much the same way as you do with the AA install when you put it back . It's a no brainer. unless of course you're hoping to sell the exhaust in time to come. If you did you could sell it as a MPE AA complete and get even more money for it.
