all the air pump stuff can go including the one way valve and metal pipework from the cylinder head

I have junked all the vac lines, you only really need the icv, crank breather and vac from rail to regulator.

I take it that crap I've removed is not needed? In the above pic I've marked a solanoid in yellow, what does that do and also it has a loose fitting plastic cap on the right hand side, is this right? Cheers for help.

well the large pipe is the ICV, so needs to be retained.

The smaller stuff can just be capped off and removed.

The small solenoid is emissions stuff so can be capped and left.

Do you know what, in the last fortnight I've not got near her. It's been really busy at work 5.30am to 8.30pm all week so by the time I'm home in shattered. Tomorrow though I intend doing a bit more after work so will post an update. I'm desperate to get it back together and driving. I just need hoses and that's it really. Oh and a brake kit.......and suspension and full respray :muttley:

Finally managed to get near the engine this afternoon. Changed all the hoses for silicone (Matt black oe look) and removed the clutch rubber hose. The new braided hose is male/female!! Does this replace the hard pipe at the slave? Thanks anyone.

Well I got an hour or so to chuck the engine back in. As I l8fted the front of the car by the cross menber to get some blocks under the wheels the o/s wheel sort of fell out. Top mount has disintegrated :muttley: it's a wonder it actually drove ok considering the amount of stuff that's fallen off or fallen apart.

Yep. I seem to be systematically replacing everything. I'm wondering if it's ever going to end.
