Just in case anyone is interested, I went out and did some measurements of the chargecooler. Thinking of just getting a local or internet-based metal cut-and-fold company to make up an aluminium cover.

Length - 277.5mm (the curve just takes it past the 277mm mark)

Top channel - 98.2mm (could probably go with just 98mm to give a mm either side)

Full width for front/rear section - 135.6mm (could probably drop it back to 135.5mm)

Height - 76.3mm (could take it to 76.5mm if using 3M tape to secure, to ensure no aluminium front shows)

    Hope that helps someone?
If I get round to sorting mine, I'll post up.

You do’t need the back part as it can’t be seen, so just an L shape if that make’s sense, should also work out a little cheaper.

A can of satin or gloss black paint and a sticker will do the job and won't add extra heat or cost a fortune.

Was originally thinking about making a piece that would not need taped on top, and would almost 'clamp' around the intercooler. L-shape would be handy though as it would reduce the need for mm-perfect fitment.

Oh definitely the most direct way, just not particularly reversible depending on paint choice.

Without some tape applied it’ll rattle, you’re unlikely to get the manufacturing tolerance that accurate that the fit will be that snug.

Never let it be said I don't listen to advice....

Working on my logo that i want lasercut and then I'll get some quotes. For anyone that wants one, it might be better to download the solidworks part and give it to a local company to make / cut / powdercoat / carbon skin for you, or I could get a set made up, and leave it to you to get any logo or coating you want.

Right, finally got a few quotes back. I'll want to get a batch made up to check fitment, then I'll see if anyone wants one of these first batch with a logo. Just trying to work out what it'd cost to p&p, 3M tape etc.

I'll probably try and make a few different logo versions eventually, but I initially it'll be either blank or ///M4. If folks are finding that they're getting hit with minimum order charges for single logo laser cutting, I'll try and sort out a batch of the common requests.

Got a good price from a local fab company, just waiting for the formal invoice to agree it. It's a bit of a small order for them so they don't appear to be rushing it. I'll chase them up on Monday again.

Finally, finally, finally, after much chasing up the fabrication place, I should have 5 plain and 5 ///M4 logo versions in my hands by the end of the week.

If they are well produced, fit perfectly and sell then I'll probably do a group buy type offering with maybe 4 / 5 designs.

    Almost there!

My tolerances are a bit tight, so a little polishing needed to free up a mm.
