Do evolve have a carbon intake kit coming out for the e92? I thought they shelved the idea a while ago. If they are bringing one out I'll definately be getting one
Eventuri have one coming out, looks ace but it's £800!!
£800 is a deal and a steal mate. Other options that i've been looking at are between £2000 and £3000
Im in love with this:
Shame there isn't a Kevlar plenum to match.
This one is megabucks but it sounds Good!
Cost vs gains will be small. The OEM intake is hard to beat, it's been proven that performance gains via alternative intakes is tiny.
Interested to see what Evolve come up with.
I like that. I just got priced up on a Gruppe M Ram intake system all made of carbon fiber for £2300 and a Goke carbon fiber plenum type 2 for £2000. That option that you posted actually works out cheaper and may work better for me as I'm currently going with a full race build.
Edited to add. I love that site. I've found a few bits I was looking for on it like decent carbon fiber door panels etc. Nice one mate.
No problem. Glad it's helped you
Yes gains are not much for price you spend but that induction noise is epic
So I have something very similar to the carbon kevlar one shown above, its a nice bit of kit but doesn't do much for performance or noise. I've always wondered how a full carbon intake would sound having had an m3 CSL.
Looking around there isn't anyone who is offering a decent carbon intake without breaking the bank so I decided to make my own. This is work in progress, the mould have been made and a prototype top cover has come out ok, ignore the extra carbon bits on the inside, this is purely a test to see how the shape would come out.
I'll update this thread once I have it made and fitted to my car.
here's some pics so far
The mould made from an oem intake plenum
first attempt, very messy but was just made up to see if the final shape from the mould was good enough
Full release coming in week or so whilst Eventuri build up some stock levels to take care of pre orders.
Here is a teaser:

Nice to meet you today,i’ll Keep an eye on this I’m very interested!
No worries mate, nice to meet you too.
Should have something ready in a couple of eeeks.
Nice work Goldy, I am watching with interest as well
Any news on when Eventuri will be releasing theirs? Curious to see if there are any gains etc
I have the carbon plenum from Goke. It has a 20% volume increase over stock and sounds CSL like. Performance gain is supposedly 10hp.
Goke make carbon parts for BMW and VW motorsport, their build quality and customer service is fantastic.
I went direct and paid a lot less than £2k.
is this the one you have?
I’ve just bought this can’t wait to fit it I’ll report back once I’ve took it to a dyno to see if it does gain anything I’m after the noise to be honest and looks
