pain in the ass of a job !
Cheers mate no bites on it yet but not really tried to push selling it
Haha - had a friend do my plugs a few weeks ago but he bashed it out in 20 mins. Although he's been a BMW tech for 20 years so I guess he could do it with his eyes shut now.
Good luck with the sale, it's a lovely car.
I've had mine up (08 plate, 93k, DCT, EDC) for about 3 months now for £16250 (which I thought was reasonable) but still hanging around. Very tough market!! Don't think I'd bother with Autotrader either. I tried that at the start. £60 for 6 weeks. I had 1600+ views on the advert and that equated to 1 phone call which went nowhere. Not worth the money for me.......
I’m not paying autotrader prices , I’ll leave it here and pistonheads if it sells it sells if it doesn’t I’m not too fussed . See how it goes had a couple of enquiries .
Simply stunning Rob, best colour too!
All the best with the sale
Thanks Terry hope your well mate
Will take px up to 4K , must be bmw diesel and m sport
Going to test the water and see if it’s the market or the price 22k no bids no px no messers . Just had discs and pads all round and a service and plugs . Bargain for a low mileage edition model .
Hi, lovely car! Can I ask how many owners?
3 previous I believe , I don’t have the logbook to hand at the mo .
Still having troubles selling mine mate
I don't want to offend anyone, but if the car is priced right, it will sell.
Yours looks and sounds great, but I can go and get a car of similar age, spec and miles from BMW with AUC warranty for the same price (or less).
So for a private sale, you need to a fair bit cheaper.
You can get an edition model with 43k on for less than 22k can you ? I doubt that very much considering I bought this in the trade so I know what they are selling for . As far as I’m concerned 22k is a good price for this .
I was replying to M393's comment.
He is asking 24k for his, which is more than some Alpine editions from BMW AUC.
Ok no worries .
I know what you're saying but have to respectfully disagree. The used market is really tough at the moment. So by saying priced right, you really mean it has to be a 'giving it away' price to actually sell anything at the moment.
And I haven't looked on the BMW used approved site for a couple of weeks now but couldn't find anything less than £27k last time I checked.
No I don't mean giving it away.
But at the same time, if you are going to price the car at the same (or higher) than what you can get a BMW AUC car for, then it's obviously not going to sell quickly, even if the market was great (which it isn't).
I personally hate buying cars from a dealer as I don't trust them, but when spending 20k plus on a car, then I'd rather spend it on an AUC car that gives me 30 days to return it (for a refund) if it isn't as it should be, 12 months warranty that covers just about everything, easy finance options and then ontop of that be able to px my current car, over paying the same (or more) for a car privately that gives none of those options.
Just looked on the AUC cars list, and there are 3 Alpine editions for 24k or less (ok they all have more miles on them, but again they have the above mentioned plus marks).
Anyway we are moving this thread off topic, and that was not my intention at all.
Before I bought this , I was interested in a 2010 comp pack at my local bmw dealers , it had almost 80k on the clock and they wanted just under 25k for it . Cars with lower miles will always command good money especially cars like these .
