Circling back to the discussion on floor mats, I went with the oem look with M stitching that are available from a seller in Germany via eBay. They do look nice (well my old ones were so naff anything would have looked better), and a spot on colour match. We'll see how well they hold up as per @swistak 's comment, but the car is used pretty lightly.

Old one on the left (just in case it isn't obvious ;))

I have been thinking about A Dodge Ram/ Ford F150,250 or Silverado for years as i just love the big old yank tanks. What is your overall opinion of these as an everyday vehicle? apart from fuel are they pretty cheap to maintain/insure etc.

What're you driving?
BMW Z4MR + E92 M3 COUPE
Early in this thread a figure of 600 was mentioned for the E92 M3 numbers, how many were manuals?

That figure was for the e90 m3s. The e92 numbers are significantly larger.

Ahh, I'm driving this one in South Carolina on rental. And over here it's 'just a car'. The kids love it because they treat it like a climbing frame and enjoy travelling round in the bed in my in-laws development.

It would be a nightmare in the UK if you drive anywhere other than A roads and motorways, or maybe if you had a business trimming hedges on country lanes. Rofl

There was a post on the E9x M3 UK fbk group where the poster said they had received confirmation from bmw uk on E9x m3 UK production numbers, and they totalled
622 e90
5,370 e92
2,060 e93

I would assume that manuals would be something like 30% of the 5.370.

I take it everyone has seen the video posted to the facebook grp today of the aftermath of M90PSD (originally PJ08DCX) taking a plunge into a roundabout/junction verge. Debates on whether it will be fixed or not, looks pretty broken to me but I am not a mechanic by any stretch of the imagination. It seems I can't share the video outside of facebook, but here's a few stills from the video:

It seems the forum upgrade recognises even plain text as a URL and tries to convert it to media. So here is the URL with a gap between 'videos/' and '1894663437384118/'. Copy and paste the whole thing to the address bar and remove that space, hopefully that will take you there:

Great to know the damage wasn't that bad. It would be sad to see another e90 bite the dust.

Likely another E90 biting the dust, as the former "Living life fast" E90 M3 has been stolen
