Hi - my M3 has an eVenturi intake and an M2 Motorsport exhaust.

Any ideas whether I should be worried/careful about noise limits at Bedford? They do 101 static and 87 driveby.

    Cheers

It’s definitely a strict dB limit track.
I have no idea what exhaust you have so can’t comment.
I have supersprint race, non res centre and decats, usually hit 96-97db on static.

    Thanks.

I don’t think My exhaust is much louder than a super sprint. The rest of the exhaust - centre section, cats - is standard.
Sounds like static shouldn’t be an issue. Are you ok with driveby?

I get pulled occasionally to say I’m getting close. But I’ve never gone over.

Yep - nice to meet you too.

Yeah it’s bizarre. Car was fine for the two hour drive up to Bedford. Started misfiring as soon as I went on circuit, couldn’t get to the bottom of it and called it off and just chilled out. At end of day just after calling RAC I gave it another try and it was working perfectly! Cancelled RAC and drive it home as if nothing was ever wrong!

Need to find out now what happened.

(On the static I was 100.3dB so only just a scrape!)

Maybe there’s a fault recorded that might give you a clue. It’ll be worth investigating so you dint have this issue again.

My car seems have have swallowed my house keys, they fell out of the centre console under my seat and have disappeared. They must be in the air vent so I have to remove the seat and stick my bore scope down there and hopefully find them.

All my buddies were getting noise boards btw, but at least they worked with them to prevent them getting thrown off. Luckily my Akrapovic is nice and quiet. 96db static test.

Indeed I found the MSV crew to be very helpful in how to avoid an early exit due to noise. The noise limits are what they are - which is low unfortunately - but at least they were trying to maximise people's experience within them.

Car is already with the specialist. We think it might be vanos coil pack pending further investigation
