    So having an issue with the rear windows.

    Randomly happened one day, the front windows work fine. However the rear window won’t go back in, it goes out then have to use the key to get it to shut. Clearly the motor works. Switch all seems okay.

    Anyone had this issue ?

    Had this exact issue with passenger side rear window on my 2002 E46 M3;

    1. Window would open ok - but not close. After say 10 attempts it sometimes closed.
    2. Changed switch - no different.
    3. Changed motor - no different

    After bit of searching realised it was probably the GM5 module. Took it ou and sent to chap in Harrogate who advertises on eBay - got ALL relays replaced - works perfectly now - plus sporadic issue with central locking resolved.

    Cheers
