    Hi all!

I am browsing this forum for quite some time now. And I think it's a good time to do a quick introduction. I own a 2003 e46 M3 SMG with around 110k kms on it. It's a carbon black one. I have made some small changes to the car:

    - updated the SMG software
    - new leather steering wheel
    - Storm Motorwerks paddle shifters
    - 19' CSL wheels

I am currently installing a Karbonius Airbox, this is work in progress now.

    Here are some pics:

    Cheers!

So pretty! Almost makes me want to get my steering wrapped in leather, but I still prefer alcantara

    Hi Suraj,

Thanks! I am enjoying the car a lot! With regards to the paddle shifters, they are not lit, but maybe illuminated is a better description. The quality is really amazing and the finish also matches the interior really well. Together with the steering wheel, this is a really nice upgrade!

Illuminated is what I meant :D

Have you had any of the typical SMG issues?

No, no issues. It's working fine (knocking wood). Only my original paddle shifters stopped working at some time, but after cleaning the inner part of the system they worked fine again.

Has the car had any preventative work on the SMG system done?

No, never. It just gets normal maintenance. Would prefer it instead of a manual personally.

Cool. Do you have any fear of breaking down due to SMG issues?
