tbh I’m really looking for a 328i sport, but they are difficult to find, budget around 6k for a decent one I recon.

The alternative is save abit longer and look to get a M3, but I’d rather not have a tatty one so would have to wait a while.

    what would you do?

The 328 sport is a fantastic car with a brilliant engine but it is no M3.

    very true.

I loved driving 328i’s back in the day, but once I owned an m3 I couldn’t go back to them.

M3 all day but the right one. You need to save double what you have to get into an M3 that needs work

I have both. Yes the M3 is more fun to drive for sure, but one thing that is very noticable, is the extra weight of the cast iron S50 vs the al M52. The 328i feels more nimble in corners. You can really feel that extra weight in the front.

I've seen this Evo M3 in person as this is the dealer I bought my F80 M3 off. His name is Lee and a really good lad. The E36 M3 is absolutely immaculate and fully restored.
