Im considering the above for my 96 Evo

Can you advise what parts are needed aside from the intake itself and a remap?

Also, what are the leadtimes for both gloss and matt finishes

Thank you

Hi, you will need a IAT temp sensor in place of your old MAF and wieing changes, adjust the dip stick and you should be ready for Mapping

I would expect 4-5 weeks delivery on these currently

Thanks - wiring changes as in plug and play connections, or soldering?

I may be giving it to a specialist to fit, if they can perform the remap too (TBC)

Are there any downsides to the matt carbon in terms of longevity?

Just wiring the ITC in really, most prefer gloss and gloss is easier to keep clean Matt lacquer can be a pain for sure
Is your website showing an accurate price at present? £1615 delivered to mainland UK?

Im assuming it comes with the parts listed on the Karbonius website? .I.e

Kit includes:
• Airbox
• Rubber hose 12 mm inner Ø
• 6 silicone hose 60 Ø
• 12 inox clamps 50-70 Ø
• 2 inox clamps 20 Ø
• 6 adaptors with integrated flanges
• 12 allen screws M6x20
• Mpower sticker
*Does not include air filter

Can you supply a genuine CSL filter?

Lastly, what difference allows you to offer a 5 year warranty on the S54 item, and I assume a 2 year warranty on the s50 item.

Thank you

Hi, no sadly, you get the airbox no snorkel section, yes an M Power sticker not applied, i keep ITG filters i stock here, the S54 CSL box comes in complete carbon so as its all made in house this items has the 5 year warranty, the S50 bix uses some oem parts so a limited warranty

Yes, I bought a spare ECU from CRMtech, he suggested the wiring to the existing IAT sensor may need to be extended.

Sorry i dont get asked for the S50 box's much these days, thos would need ordering currently
4-5 weeks lead time? I’m in no rush at present, it’s likely I won’t get round to fitting until September due to other works going on.

I dont know why, i have fitted a fair few, provided you use the stock ish location its fine. Ultimately fitting it at the mouth is just a bit less accurate than having it in the middle as it wont account for any heat soak. Anyway, whatever works for you, but you don't need to fit an IAT or mess with the wiring unless you want to do so.

Thanks - i didn’t think you’d get a choice of location as the hole is pre-drilled in the carbon?

I’m hoping it will be in a stock-ish location

Depends some come with and without, many race cars ditch the ICV and that can affect the position. This box is not one i am familiar with.

Either way, that should be fine, if anything the wire will be slacker as the box is deeper.
