@stuartk was talking about the 850CSI - a very different beast.

Certainly a low mileage one with rear wheel steer, no doubt. And maybe an individual colour with matching seat piping - maybe Mora Metallic :)

And "press preparation" in the specs.
Don't see AHK (or rear wheel steer) mentioned.

She looks very clean in fairness!

How many miles out of interest?

Really after a darker colour I think, wishing a red one would appear. There is a 92k miles one that has had the life detailed out of it, 3 weeks ago it was £16,999, then they traded it to Retro Classics who had it at £18,999 weirdly and now they are asking £19,999....tell you what nothing appreciates like an 840Ci in lockdown haha

    88,000 miles.

£17 - £20k is strong money for one with 92,000 miles.

Most cars around that mileage trade between £13 - £17k, depending on condition, spec etc.

Agreed, I'd like some of what they are smoking haha. In fairness it looks immaculate outside and largely inside too. Goes to show what a good preparation can do. I was willing to pay £16k for it before they went silly with their pricing.

They are proper proper slow though. Draggy’d my mates at all traps and it’s one of the slower cars on the log, he still loves it though.

The looks are pretty ageless imo :)

I remember mithering my dad to buy one when I was a little kid. They were the next coolest thing to Kit from Knightrider haha

I doubt I’d even drive it if I’m honest. Just want to add it to my collection and show my kids what cars were like in my youth. None of the turbo stuff they mass produce today, pure naturally aspirated

Once they’re up and running they’re not that slow.

    Plenty torque on tap.

Tbh if they were any faster it would be dangerous due to the braking system which uses an old school brake booster off the power steering fluid.

Such a cool looking car, I remember when my Dad bought his E36 318iS, the dealer gave my sister a BMW teddy and I got a little pull back 850i in metallic brown, took it everywhere with me.

I remember having a nose around one a few years back, I thought the interior was so cool

I love the original 8 series. As others have said it’s timeless and seems to keep improving as the years go on.

You'll like this one then, my old 840 Ci Sport with 20" E38 Alpina's not long before I sold it about 8 years ago with 90k for £7000 trade in against an Alpina Roadster for the wife. Dealer put it up for £13k straight away! Always felt a sense of occasion going out in this.
