I’m going to install a driver side recaro pole position soon using the oem seat belt receptacle.
Will it trigger any airbag light swapping out the driver seat only and will it need coding work ?

    Thank you

Yes, you'll get a 'restraint systems faulty' message. From what I understand you'll need to code out the airbag and active headrest sensors. This is the case with the OEM M Performance Seats as well (the headrests, not the airbag).

Also, depending on the physical fit of the seats you may want to code out the seat belt butlers as well, as they can hit the seat (they do on my performance ones if you're sitting far back). That said you can pull the fuse for those without getting an error message.

Have a look on m3post for the full details. You'll need to add RECA to the VO too. Be careful with the order of unplugging the battery and changing the seats.

Once you've done the install I'd be interested to see how low they can sit. I've got M Performance Seats which are Recaro CS and they still seem to sit slightly higher than I'd like.

Also, are you installing any kind of tilt mechanism? Or just sliding it forward for passengers

    Cheers

I post some pictures to show how low they go mate once installed.
I’m not planning to install any kind of tilt mechanism pal, just need the sliders going backwards and forwards so my daughter can squeeze in and out at the back.
