Not even had a reply from them after emailing them. My wife called last night to get a quote, spent half an hour on phone guy said he would call back and he obviously couldn’t be bothered as no call received. From what my wife said he didn’t seem interested and didn’t know about m3 cutters. Waste of time don’t bother or waste your time with them!

True- if that’s the case they should stop sponsoring on here- gives them an even worse reputation

I spent a while trying to ring them when renewing last month and just gave up in the end. I get that things aren't as straight forward at the moment but other people could answer the phone and give me a quote which is the basics for an insurance company so it's a bit pointless if they can't do that

I gave up using all these 'specialised' insurance companies, just used Confused or Compare to find best prices and went from ~£600 to ~£300 for my car, currently with LV and Tesco, recently had someone drive into side of my other car and Tesco were really helpful.

Yeah my wife is with tesco, the renewal came in cheaper then previous year but thought we would have a look around anyway, went on compare and tesco came up even cheaper, rang them up they managed to get it even lower in the end so was around 150 quid cheaper then the renewal price.
Think it was about 350 quid which for a 19 plate mini cooper s is pretty good.

I thought Tesco’s were pretty good until I broke down near Manchester one evening and they didn’t get a tow truck to me till 1:00 am (7 hrs) Even bleeding coppers came to check me out I’d been there that long. Premiums were good until I got confused and they got another £150 off and a better breakdown service. No logic, just shows. When M3 came off road, I swapped policy to a Mini Cooper and it went up. Tesco’s signed their own warrant there.

I was with them for eight plus years. Car was stolen last year and they completely washed their hands with it. Didn't help me at all with the under writer issues I had... They then failed to swap my insurance over onto my replacement car, even though I paid the admin fee and had docs sent. Few weeks later I got pulled by the old bill for having no insurance... Proved it to them via emails and emailed documents from sky. When I called them they first blamed the underwriter and then after I called the underwriter they blamed covid. I replied computers don't get covid and magically the next day the car was showing as insured on the MID.

Then come renewal time this year, they were nearly £700 worse than the next best quote from a well known insurance company.

They have definitely gone down hill imo. Sky used to find the best deals and would give you that personal touch too. Now it feels like they're totally disconnected.

Had no issues for years, until I had to make a claim. So I'd say before Sky were great and always found the best Insurance cover/cost.

That's just my own personal experience and is not a reflection of others. If they give you a good deal go for it, but make sure you check the underwriters they are using are decent. Or you'll be the middle man going between your broker and them, which can amount to tens of hours or lost time chasing your tail on the phone.
