    I certainly do feel guilty.

I try to offset this by walking to work, parking the car during winter, buying carbon offsets, buying locally grown produce etc.

This year I chose not to fly back to my home country after my father was diagnosed with cancer, due to cost and environmental considerations. Should I rush out to a (VERY) remote location with 24 flying hours, inflicting pollution and cancer on others? That didn’t seem right.

    Is this a serious post?

China has 15 coal power plants, 6 more being built and 2 more in planning stages. The developing nations are burning and polluting their way up the development ladder and nothing the UK does will make a blind bit of difference.

You can set what ever bar you like it wont make any difference.. have you noticed that the EU buys so much from China but doesnt punish them with import tariffs for polluting the planet? 90% of all the plastic in the ocean comes from rivers in Africa and China.

Nothing worse than hypocritical woke virtue signalling. If you felt that guilty you would sell your M4 and go live in a tree house and grow your own food...

Next you will be telling us how you feel guilty over your ancestors benefiting from the slave trade

Have a few people had a bump on the head this feed is ridiculous / hilarious and pointless all at the same time - made the train ride into work entertaining anyway - love cutters !

as an aside bmw are putting smaller engines (cheaper to manufacture along with greener credentials) selectively across the ranges - new M135i is comprised being a 4 pot but 4 wheel drive might save it... 35i and 40i were a differentiator being 6 cylinders compared to all the 4 pot competition - I’m not convinced but it’s the way it seems to be going !

Why feel guilty , tax it insure it. Doesn’t get used every day ,, unlike a daily run about, polluting the atmosphere just to go to work! it’s the daily commuters who should feel guilty, get the train :bh:

Daily commute should be done in a ev or hybrid,, we have a Toyota hybrid, to be honest I think they are better than a petrol or diesel, I really cannot fault, will definitely be thinking of a full electric,, sitting In smelly traffic does my head,,

He sounds like a Corbyn voter. Uses the gender neutral toilets
Diesel powered train. Cars parked in car park to get to station. Plus staff. refreshments delivered by trucks powered by diesel. Tracks laid by heavy plant run on diesel. Maintenance people run diesel vans. Tools powered by electricity mostly produced by coal/gas power.

How many of these are Euro 6 compliant? Less then 1% i bet.

I just quit a job selling eco shite technology and i can tell you that its all a fckin scam.

Nice to have the budget for multiple cars. Joe Bloggs wouldn't have the same. Imagine the average person buying an EV, it isn't possible due to cost and lack of infrastructure.
