Wanting to get this done, but can't see anywhere near Glasgow (or even in Scotland) that offers fitting/coding. Think I read on here a while back that BMW dealers offer it now. Emailed local place yesterday and no reply yet. Will try calling tomorrow. Anyone know if they do it before I get some clueless service staff that will deny all knowledge?

I can supply a retrofit loom that makes the conversion very easy.

I take it that it would still require coding mate?

Yes it would still need coding but that should be easy enough for any BMW independent or local coder .

‘Pushkal’ can code it. I think he’s somewhere near Glasgow.

As I live too far away from Ian (alpina527) I had my local BMW main dealer retrofit my LCi rear lights. It only took them 3 days:eek:. They finally got it right after a bit of guidance from Ian.

Coding is only for the inner indicator not that big a deal you can do it at a later stage

Definitely SO mate. I love the colour as it really does go from a deep red to a bright orange in different lights. Obviously I won't track it (it's a slow Vert:)) and my CCB comment is sort of tongue in cheek, although I would love them. Maybe not on my 32 month old car, but they will be spec'd on the next one.

    Yes.

I bought the lights from Phil, harness from Ian. Fitted and coded by BMW in Inverness.
I believe there is a OEM retrofit kit.

Ccb’s are fantastic on a road car look awesome and stopping is unbelievable but just the no dust aspect is nearly worth the money also makes the car lighter on its feet I’m back on irons at the mo and the steering is so woolly in comparison

I think if you had the proper Bimmercode app on your phone and the OBD wifi dongle, you could to the coding yourself. Fitting the lights is a doddle, and if you use Ians cable it's really easy, pretty much plug and play. I did mine in about 40 minutes I think.
For the record, if they did the Performance black lights for the M4, I'd actually have been tempted. :D

Cheers for that info mate. I know someone else above asked but would you mind sharing what the charge was to get it done?

I do have the Bimmercode app, have found a site with details about what to change in the advance settings, seems like a lot of faffing about tho compared to the esys way.

Is there a guide somewhere regarding fitting the lights and loom do you know?
