    Derek,
I couldnt be any closer at this point, in shaking the mans hand, lol. Two things stopping me are, i saw a Snapper Rocks Blue car, with Ceramics yesterday, and it was Johns paupers version :D, and i thought it was pant wettingly lovely. The other thing on my mind, is a 4wd 610 hp 205 mph car, made by a firm called Audi, i think :lolwsign:

That’s fine but I’m not sure the boss will sign off on that?, have you seen the video with it against a Maca 570s ? You could get it instead and give your Scottish buddy a wee go?

Obviously a different animal Col, the LRG was drop dead gorgeous and top if its game for performance but for me I like to have the luxury also, always thought they were a bit big but one drive and I was sold, flying out of junctions in the wet was nice as well :D:thumbsup:

I certainly enjoyed the test drive John :muttley: yep that's the one

    You are correct Derek,
Nickys having none of it, even said she wouldnt set foot in one,. Have you seen the prices of McLarens recently ?, dropping through the floor. The £35k paint recall per car isnt helping, that, and McLaren overproducing them. Think i would prefer the Audi myself, after driving one.

Looking like its still the M5 if im honest, when i grow a pair, and actually say, oh, go on then :muttley: :lolwsign:.

hi Simon, I get what you are saying but for me not having Comp Pack isn't a dealer breaker, the white one I test drove today was none CP and was just amazing, more power than I could need with extreme comfort thrown in for good measure, not really sure what a CP could offer me over that, not sure if it gives a firmer ride but if it does I would prefer the ride I had today

The one I have gone for is also I think a very well specced car , October 68 plate with just a few thousand miles on it, I built it today and it comes in at £96K, that's without the external performance kit and the service pack so it obviously a +£100K list priced car

Do the CPs come with the external parts on as standard?

I also didn't pay the asking price, I paid late seventies so doesn't seem to bad no?

    Thats fine Nick,
As long as you are happy, and you have all the info. No, the comp pack doesnt come with any of the carbon addenda, apart from a thin carbon boot lip. The Comp does have a firmer ride, but not by much, and has a 7mm lower ride height, ooo :D. It has bits and pieces such as rose jointed links, in the suspension, and different settings for dampers, and diff etc, it also sounds a lot fruitier as standard, to my ears anyway. The carbon bits are mega expensive on the 5, rear diffuser £900. Pair carbon side sill extensions £1500. Carbon mirror caps £378 each, front carbon corners i think £500 a side ?.

Good info that mate thanks for that, got to say I love the carbon agenda and it would be a must for me so if the CPs don't come with it at the £85K then the first thing I would have done is put them on, I would then be looking at a price difference of over £10K dearer for the CP to what I have gone for

Congratulations Nick! That's a big step up in performance and luxury. Wish I could move on to one of these although two things are stopping me: 1. I want to retire at 56 not 66 and 2. I need a bigger garage!

    All the best,

    Scotty

Thanks Jay. Lost a little interest in the motor towards the back part of last year but getting back into it again now. Seriously considering Bootmod3 (again) to spice things up a little. Hopefully catch-up at the next Leicester meet.
