Hi mate, having the GTS flash will drastically improve this. I used ZED coding who is based in the Moseley area of Birmingham do mine at my house. He does it remotely too. Charges £150. Deffo worth it.

I wouldn’t call it a problem it is a characteristic of DCT box and flashing to the GTS DCT software improves it some what.

I will have to experiment with how much throttle I apply on take off, I know the gearbox is similar to a manual so it’s a bit like too much clutch and no revs. Do you know if it will kangaroo using launch control, not tried launch control yet?

    Thanks

You sure it's not just a traction issue, it's cold and wet etc?

Hi Zletsgo, if I use eco mode and floor the throttle it’s ok just in sport and sport plus I get the kangaroo, I don’t really want to use Launch control and not in the habit of flooring it I am just trying to work out if I have a problem or not also does it in the wet and dry conditions. Thanks

I maybe need to just try different amounts of throttle see if it makes any difference. I have asked at BMW they said they will need to book it in which is fine, I was hoping they may have said it’s the characteristic of the gearbox and I have to be gentle or more aggressive on the throttle but they didn’t.

The gearbox is a lot more aggressive if using settings 2&3 in drivelogic settings. It does drive like a manual and you just have to be gentle pulling away or it will jerk a bit. Also it will jerk at low speeds in sport and sport plus especially if also in the higher drivelogic settings. They are jerky cars to drive and you get used to it.

Hi, thanks for a bit of clarity, I will have another look at the settings, good to know it’s more of a characteristic than a problem.

    Thanks again.

They can all do it mate F or E serious M cars manual or dct gearboxes you will just learn what throttle input to use it all depends on what settings yours using gearbox wise plus what you have your thortle settings set at sport sport + etc. It's certainly nothing to worry about.
