I've finally settled on buying a set of CSL reps for my carbon black e46 m3

Can you guys kindly assist me in the final decision making process.....Hyper silver or hyper black ?

I'm minded to go hyper silver as I want to retain an OEM appearance of sorts.....but I do like the H.black wheels too....

Any pictures and opinions would be gratefully received !

Ps I will also be lowering the car in future although I'm undecided as to which suspension route so I don't mind pics of lowered cars if you have any with the above wheels on!

Hyper silver for Carbon Black. Sorry the pictures are so rubbish; I just took a few snaps when they were fitted last week. The car is not very clean.

Black on black sucks - my opinion. Looks like a drug dealers chavved up pimp mobile.

On the other hand, black E46s look pure class on crisp silver CSLs.

Keep it classy and OEM - step away from the black grills and smoked depos if you were thinking about those too... :D

My winter wheels were satin black 18"s when I got them and I didn't like the look at all. A triple black car needs a bit of contrast to lift it. Maybe someone should try black spokes and a silver rim a la Fuchs alloys used on 911s

I think I'm with you on this one Keith

I like a crisp look, and generally dislike pimped/chav/dug dealer looking cars

I'm sold on hyper silver me thinks....although more pics could easily reverse that decision!!

I have a set that I’m looking to sell. I’ve gone back to my 18’s, and only used these for about 500miles (no track use). PM me if interested.

Nice! I've just fitted mine and love them. I do need to get the slightly wider tyres as the fronts look a little stretched. It's amazing what difference 10mm makes on the tyre...

I have red calipers on the to-do list so very timely!

Don’t take what Keith said personally, it’s just his and many others opinion and his car looks lovely (not as nice as his white one) for being oem. It’s just taste and I personally like how your car looks and like the yellow calipers too.

    Cheers

Thanks for correcting my poor spelling lol
I don’t take things personally I like it for a second car that only really does track action
If we all liked the same stuff it would be boring
I like the silver but I got black wheels on a deal
Black wheels are faster than silver anyways :muttley:
