My e36 m3 us coming up to 20 years old next month and is also due for its insurance.
Good question. I also would be interested in any answers.
Considering people on here have E46's insured under classic car I would expect an E36 to be eligible, it's about finding the right company that will do it.
It's not a case of age in my experience but vehicle type, I had my E92 M3 on a classic policy through the BMW Car Club GB..........I think the club qualifies any "M" car for a classic policy.
I thought it was ten years, as managed to get my wife’s old boxster on one as soon as it was 10 years old. Then she wanted to upgrade...
We have a number of future classic car schemes that can cater for certain vehicles of any age.
