Actually I thought that the other day, it does seem louder or just different to my previous BMWs.

Maybe it’s a reminder we drive BMWs and aren’t suppose to use them?

Had my RIS today. Took longer as I also needed the recall and I was waiting for it, but service at Warwick was good (as was price, in comparison to other dealers thanks to recommendation on this thread) they even bought me a meal deal for waiting longer than expected.

Had to get back quickly after that so took the motorway / major A road route rather than planned route but at least I could open it up and see what it’s got. Yep it shifts and revs out nicely!

Now just for more driving (and yet more fuel!)

Dick Lovett, Swindon. They were very good. Made Sytner look like amateurs.

It's an M car. Tight, poised, firm. And did any purchaser really think it'd be a floating carpet? I agree with you totally. I also like firm suspensions, makes me feel like I'm involved in something. Drove our M3 to France and loved every minute. They are ridiculously good cars. All of them.

For anyone interested the GTS Black can now be had for £400. Good price for an extra 100hp with some sort of warranty (not sure fit that’s been tested though)

    https://www.racechip.co.uk/gts-black

Won’t bother myself as car doesn’t need more power tbh, but if someone goes for it do report back
