Oldy but a goody. I do miss this. One I should have kept hold of I think
That's gone straight to the top of my favourite colours list. Very envious of you for having that
Not really a carpark look back but this pic was taken as I was pulling away after picking my friend up and his wife.
Not too bad as a wedding car
My fav pic of the wedding so far
Looked back after parking at work tonight..
Will be so hard to replace this eventually… 2.5 years in and still loving it!
Nice. How have you attached your front number plate as can’t see any white caps for the screws?
Love his thread! Glad I'm not the only one who drools looking back at their pride and joy! Last car park look back pic I took:
Stop it please..... Looking at your R8 is too much for me...... The desire of having an R8 gets out of control ...... I really shouldn't buy another car
If it was mine I think i'd be taking pic's every time i got out of the car .... Your car looks amazing
Lol! Thank you . I completely agree about that burning desire to have one, I fought it for years and this year I caved and accidentally sold my perfect (to me) E92 M3 and regretted it for the weeks I was car-less waiting for the right R8!
I think you done the right thing and looking at the prices, you got it at the right time as i can't see them dropping in price.
I recently saw the same Audi R8 that i was thinking of buying last year... Red, manual with 17k on the clock for £35K..... Look at the price now!
Ah red and white were my two most desirable colours .
Yeah in honesty that was the main driving factor to jump in now. Like you, having watched them for a long time (pre-pandemic in my case), I have noticed they plateaued and then began increasing. I think when Audi dropped manual entirely on the new cars, it made a lot of people look back at the original V8 manual and it has slowly increased, taking a massive hike during the pandemic.
If you look at the last 12 months, there have been so many journalists, youtubers, critics etc going back to the Gen 1 V8 manual, and singing it's praises 13 years after it's release. I am hoping it becomes a bit of a unicorn/collectors car, like the few clean low mile E46 M3s are becoming.
I managed to get a deal too good to pass, and looking at the market currently, there's only two white R8s, and the cheapest is pretty much identical to mine (spec, miles, etc) bar being 2 years younger... it's making me confident mine will look after me .
Jesus H that's a beauty.
That's a stunning shot
Down in South Devon enjoying a few days away.. and some twisty roads!
