The car had been fitted with freshly painted Brembo brakes by a previous owner, in the BMW Performance Blue colour, and while they looked good, the blue finish didn't really show off the calipers very well, so I booked the car in at Lemass Automotive to get the calipers repainted in yellow. Tom at Lemass recommended Porsche Racing Yellow which has elements of BMW Dakar yellow in it, but with a bit more 'pop'.

    Previously blue calipers:

    Subtle, but effective change.

The car came with a Tegiwa backbox, which I initially liked, but eventually found a little bit annoying. It sounded amazing when pushing on, but a little but ASBO when driving through town. There was also the usual drone at 70mph which wasn't a major issue as I don't use the car as a daily, but still. I toyed with getting an Eisenmann or Supersprint backbox, but decided to give an OEM one a try and enjoy the induction noise from the CSL airbox.

Agreed to buy an OEM box off the ever helpful @Karl 04lsb and he kindly arranged to fit it for me too. Minor rush to get this done, as I had booked a Trackday at Bedford and was pretty sure the Tegiwa would fail the strict noise tests there.

Tegiwa box - was only 12 months/1500 miles old so was like new and sold quickly to someone on FB.

The Tegiwa box had 83mm tailpipes and when replaced with the OEM one, it looked a bit limp, so I bought some Eurotips from the chap on here that makes them, and had them fitted at CPC.

Staggered look as per the OEM tips.
