Really want to see either the M3 and M4 in the flesh in black, Tanzanite, Portimao and Isle of man green.
Dealer had a dravit grey 340i in the showroom and whist it was quite nice I wouldn't want it in this colour, but it may be different if I saw one.........flippin heck, why am I talking like this....I'm not getting one!

Well I finally had the opportunity to test drive the M4 today and must say I enjoyed it.
I really wanted to see how comfortable the carbon bucket seats would be for a sixteen stone 6ft 1'' 64 year old and I was pleasantly surprised. I had no trouble getting in or out of them and after just short of 100 miles I was still comfortable and could have carried on. I love the interior on this car!
Like most BMW's its a lovely car to drive and is actually deceptively quick. You only really notice it when you overtake something and realise how quickly you get past, but it seemed pretty sure footed, although it was dry. Pulling away and getting into 2nd before booting it had the rear squirming slightly, but not as much as the F80 and I found the gearbox very smooth and no banging through the gears under hard acceleration like the previous generation.
I'm not going to say any more as many have summed it up previously on their test drives, but I think it is a great looking car and I could see myself in one at some point.
    Photos below.

I thought the Brooklyn Grey looked great at the dealership however I saw one in the wild from a distance (parked up at Biggin Hill airport) and it looked really bland and cheap, like it was still in primer. If you're going for a grey i'd recommend the dark metallic grey (Dravit?) personally.

Nice looking car from that angle.

Leather colour is a brave choice.

I have the M3 in that colour tomorrow, not fan it will age very quickly IMO. I could give a mild report with Pictures IF anyone's bothered.

I really don't know mate, think I'm going to sit tight for a bit longer and see what the next few months bring about. But I must say, the more pics I see of the new M3/M4 the more I start to like it. I notice quite a few here have already started to like it whereas before they didn't.

I guess, as more cars hit the showrooms and more reviews are conducted online, that people get more familiar and form different views compared to when the cars weren’t so visible

Brooklyn grey isn't my choice, but it looks quite good in the sun.

It actually looks better in the flesh from most angles....even the front!![IMG] I like the leather colour choice, but think silverstone and black would have looked better on this particular Brooklyn grey car.

Interested to hear which seats you have in the test car and how you find them.

It looks very nice indeed Scott, but would you get bored with it over time? Maybe that's the wrong question to ask you, :muttley:but would it age well?

Looks much better in real life than photo's. I wasn't keen until I actually saw one.
Think we have similar other forum interests??

UPDATE: No Test drive, called down south this morning, will reschedule, maybe next week, the car has STD seats in Silverstone by the way.
