380 miles in and my new CS has gone into limp mode with drivetrain and rear diff fault. Currently awaiting BMW recovery.

I would be pretty pissed off tbh if I had just bought a new car, and first of all there was a puncture when I collected it and now this.

That’s a real bummer, hopefully it’s just a glitch and will be sorted quickly, still a great car.

Sorry to hear of that mate

I had a drivetrain fault on my SMB. Diagnosis came up with misfire on cylinders 3 & 4. First they changed the plugs! Then they changed the coils! Then they changed the injectors! So three separate dismantles and rebuilds.

    Injectors sorted it though

    All under warranty of course

Rear diff, drivetrain and ESP. Was idling rough and wouldn’t budge from 2nd. Drove 12 miles home after BMW assistance cocked me around. It’s being collected tomorrow and I have insisted on a M3 or 4 as a replacement vehicle.

Had to collect my daughter, thank god I kept my E92!

I’ve had this fault twice. Speed sensors each time. I think they’re a weak point. Nothing to worry about if the same. Pain in the ass but they’ll fix and move on. Hopefully...

Very annoying. Don’t loose too much heart though, hopefully dealer will sort it quickly and it will feel like new again. Hope it works out ok.

So fault has been diagnosed as faulty valvetronic motor. All replaced and now working apparently.
