So reversing into the garage, lapse in concentration, bump :suicide: mirror cap ok but the lower section has damage and the camera fixings have snapped off!
I’ve posted a wanted thread in the appropriate section but looking for any ideas on this or anyone who has had to fix similar.
Will go to bmw if necessary and remortgage the house (no doubt) but hoping there are better fixes available :D
    So so so annoying.

UK garages are so bloody narrow and small. It does my head in. Bad luck man, I feel your pain.

Thanks man, to be fair the garage is a decent size I just wasn’t paying enough attention to where I was :bh:
Done it hundreds of times, just feel like a proper turnip!

Great work Plastic B, knew as soon as I did it I’d be looking at a decent whack!
Think I’ll make an offer on the eBay one and hope they’ll meet me somewhere on it.

Make offer if £200 tell him you only need the cap as it’s the same colour as yours but you’ll keep the rest as a spare . You never know . I hate it when things like this happen

Yip it sucks but last time i did something idiotic in scraping the front bumper I did what Plastic is suggesting and as well as repairing the damage I added a front splitter and carbon corners :muttley:

I had someone damage my drivers door mirror. Both parts of the bottom housing, the cap and the glass were broken but the mechanism was still intact and still firmly attached to the door frame. Cost me around £200 in bits off ebay (and a generous donation of a cap off here). It took around 30mins to replace the components. You might be able to save a few £££ if you can go that direction.

Yes I’m hoping i can swap some parts to fully repair it without needing to take the whole unit off, if you get my drift.

Just double checking this but the M3 & M4 mirrors are the same right?
Wasn't sure if the M4 version might be different with it being a coupe??

Was checking this on the BMW parts and the part numbers and prices are different for the mirrors on each vehicle. Doesn’t mean they aren’t the same I know but can anyone confirm this on here please?

My understanding is they are different. I've never known BMW have multiple part numbers for the same parrt.

Stock/CP/CS Exhaust are all the same apparently but all 3 have different part numbers.

Well, some here say they're totally different. Others say they're the same just with different Part Numbers.

    I'm of the latter group.
