Since I have been getting a lot of units in for repairs on navigation units, I thought I would make a topic to let people know the prices, types of faults and how to send your unit into me. Everyone is also welcome to pop down, as the repair only takes 30-40 mins.

All Mk4 and Mk3 units are bench tested before and after.

All Navigation repairs come with the latest map disc, firmware upgrade and custom splash screen of your choice.

All I`m looking to do is to get my Prof Nav updated so that it will search from post-codes....

Why do good, helpful lads like yourselves always have to be miles away.....? :(

You can get part postcode search, but not full postcode search. Just update the map disc, if you haven't already.

Thankyou for your very helpful reply bud, really appreciate it !

At the very least, it made me get off my arse and have a proper look at the Nav section of the manual, and indeed I found out how to input a postcode. Having tried it, it works beautifully, so thanks again.

Just one point of confusion for me; you say "map disc", do you mean the Nav hard-drive (and if you do mean this, then is there a way to update it ?), or do you mean a physical DVD/CD, or something, as I don`t actually have one ?

I`ve only bought the car 3 weeks ago, so still finding out loads of useful stuff about it, here and there.....

Edit: Just for info, whilst messing with the settings in the car, I did happen to see that my Nav was the 2009 version (car was registered in 2010), if that sheds any light ?
