You want to look after it
Maintain FBMWSH every 15k mileage or 2 years whichever is sooner
Every 12 months as the paperwork looks good in service history as well
Yeah full bmw service history. Folder full of receipts!!
Thanks for sharing. A bit ill-informed with regards to the wheels but the internet is full of that error.
A nice one for sale here if anyone's looking:
You would never know from looking at it but it once used to look like this .... https://www.pistonheads.com/regulars/ph-spottedykywt/spotted-bmw-m3-cs/26780
Do you reckon the trader would sell the boot liner separately? I’ve been after one for ages!
A few reviews have been made on the E46 M3 CS since the first post of thread
Modern Classics by Jethro Bovingdon (ex-The EVO Magazine)
E46 M3 CS Coupe v 1M Coupe
It should be noted that E46 M3 CS according to the MOT history had an advisory about the brakes which would lead to the reason why in the review they complained about the brakes on that example.
Mods how do we make this thread a sticky ?
That's my car in the Modern Classics article
There is a recall outstanding on it by BMW Group UK
The previous MOT advisory said
"Rear Brakes imbalanced requirements only just met. It would appear that the braking system requires adjustment or repair. (3.7.B.5b)"
Your M3 CS looked really great in the pics. Good article too.
do you know what the recall is for? just had mine serviced but didn't know there was a recall?
Most likely front passenger airbag. I had mine done a few years ago.
MAKE SURE you take photographs of the interior trim around front passenger airbag as some members have mentioned damage to this when BMW Dealer replaces it.
Take pics of the dashboard front passenger side and also front passenger side airbag. Make sure service advisor knows this and sees this as then they tell the BMW Technician to take extra care as they know you taken pictures.
ah right, thought maybe there was a new one. I had that done good few years back too.
This is good advice, I've had the airbags done on my CS already.
In my first M3 they damaged the wood trims.
Check with BMW if you have any recalls due.
Did they replace your wood trims ?
They did not. Extremely rare trims too. May have been impossible to replace.
They messed up a lot of the work as well at the same time, I was so annoyed I settled on a reduced price and just left.
BMW Cambridge about 4 years ago for reference.
