Hi guys was just wondering have an F80 comp pack so comes with the black exhaust tips, can these still be cleaned and polished in the same way as normal tips (using a metal polish such as autosol etc)

Or would it effect the finish at all? They currently look like the black is slightly fading off a bit  am not sure whether this is normal and with a good scrub up and polish will bring them back to life?

Sounds like they’re corroding, mine were unfixable, so imported bigger ones lol

Greattt! Haha I hope not only had the car a couple weeks if they are my fault though I guess for not picking up on it. However is an absolute peach of a car one owner low mileage from a good BMW dealership let's just hope that isn't the case

I would suggest using an all purpose cleaner and agitate it accordingly. Maybe use a bit if autosol on the underneath where you can't see the exhaust properly and see what it turns out like.

You can’t use autosol or any of the traditional metal cleaners or it’ll take the finish off. I speak from experience.
