One of my front calipers, front near side, has started sticking slightly.

A forum member on here had a pair of calipers for sale for £60 that required a refurb.

I have contacted BigRed and they want £140 to refurb both of the calipers to a 'as new' condition.

So, for £200, I am getting two as new calipers.

I have never used BigRed before but so far have been happy with there response times. I emailed for a quote and got a reply within the hour giving me a full quote.

I will update this thread with photos before and after next week when I get the calipers back.

I dont think £200 for two as new front calipers is too bad.

Brakes International have them listed for exchange for £65 excluding VAT and delivery - however are out of stock.

I also worry on exchange that you will recieve a non genuine, non M stamped caliper in exchange for your genuine one.

Doing it this way, I have my old genuine M calipers after to either sell back on as used, refurbish in my own time, or get bigred to also refurb those for me to sell on.

I will keep you updated and give a review of the service I receive from BigRed.

    Hi mate,
I got my OSF from Brakes international and it was like for like M badged.
Came next working day which is good. There out of stock on the NSF at the moment so i'm waiting till they get them in.
The cost came out at £122.69 with the surcharge and delivery. Better than £250.00 from the stealers.

If your struggling to get AMK Automotive have a pair in stock, you would just need to find a local supplier as dont think they sell direct to public. £85.96 each inc Vat £15 Surcharge.

These ones work out at £70 each as I still have my original investment of 2 calipers (only one of which is sticking) :D

Was that only £70 per caliper for the refurb mate? If it was that looks great value

Not sure on individual price, I paid to get the pair done.

    £107 + vat + delivery = £138.

So basically, yes, £70 per caliper.
