Anyone know if an F80 with an Akrapovic exhaust will be ok at Bedford?

I used to run my E92 M3 with an Akrapovic there without issue, but I am not sure if this is louder or not?

    Thanks

Has anyone or know anyone who has taken an F8* to Bedford with an Akra or had it sound tested at any tracks with the result?

So, used an iPhone app to get some sort of idea on noise level and using a stool to sit the phone on at approx. 0.5M and 45 angle from the exhaust it recorded 111.9 dB at 5K rpm valves open and 99.5 dB at 5k rpm valves closed

Static at Bedford is 101 dB drive by is 87.5 dB I think :(

Yes correct I've used the app on my phone and a proper noise db tester
My phone generally rear 8-10 db more than the tester
However when I went to snett the app was closer to the one they used
They are strict as hell I've seen cars turned away at the static and after a drive around
If you can run with them closed you should be fine

    Cheers fella.

I can pull the plug on the valves when they are closed, so that might deal with it.

Only way to know is pop to a nearby track and ask for a noise test.

    Bedford is a tricky one.
I’ve had such a variety of results when tested there.
Fluctuation of 10db between different days.

Hmmmm, will report back after Silverstone and if I was able to get noise tested there and what the result was.

The Bedford session is an evening one on the SW Circuit and was only wanting to take my brother in law for the experience of a trackday whilst he was over here on holiday. Not sure I want to take a 5 hour round trip in an afternoon with no track time because I fail the noise test. I am sure he wouldn't thank me for that!

So, the very kind people at Silverstone carried out a static noise test for me and the results are:

    Sport/Sport + 108 dB
    Efficient 95 dB

Just need the quickest and easiest way keep the valves shut when in sport/sport+ (they even open in efficient) and I will be fine.

Who has the easiest way to unplug valves temporarily, is it a fuse or the actual plugs on the servos on the back box?
