Really wanted an Auto for the commute to work, and was looking at CL AMG's, looked at 3, one stunk unbearably of smoke, one was a shed, and the last straw was one throwing up engines lights as you turn the key !!

So moved on to another old faithful V8 M3. The seller had an X5M as well and I very nearly bought that, a proper enthusiast who had the car over 5 years !

So this is a full spec Alpine Edition with Individual Audio, TV, Hardrive, Folding Mirrors, HS, Adaptive headlights Everything, I do like my toys !!

It was the work that has been done that attracted me to the car, Rod bearings 3k miles ago, actuators, new DCT gearbox at £10k, just 4k miles ago, Evolve map and de-cat at 452bhp, 2.5 mod, and things like engine mounts, full front end refresh and new Michelin cup tyres.

Not much to do to this car, spacers and a detail, then I am struggling !!

Not sure Jay, this was an edition OE model spoiler, might change it though now you have sowed the seed, they do look nice in black carbon and high kick, but then I might not !!

Nice mate. Good to see that the 92 still excites you given some of the other cars you have the pleasure of

Indeed mate (feels slow mind) but Cup tyres in these conditions drift very well which makes up for its performance even at 450bhp !! such a well balanced, playable exploitable car, its so much fun and Its hard to beat for sub 20K !!

Rear spoiler finishes the rear end of nicely. Something the e92 need.

Either way the alpine edition looks great

Not alpine edition mate but had 2 alpine e92’s and an alpine M4.

Always like the edition though as I loved the white centre console and stripes down the seat. I do prefer the shadow line mirror section rather then white though. That’s the only part I wasn't keen on.

Seen a white on today on the M1 and they still look great. Not dated at all.

You know your 92's Jay. Respect.

I'll ask you as you have had a few, I have drove so many M4's why can't I warm to them over the V8 ?

Things that I think annoy me, the rear quarters, the noise they make, and there is so many of the damn things !! Am I missing something ?

Great, clean looking example. Basically perfect spec, I'm sucker for manual but all personal preference!

Got to be a photoshoot with the Fezza! Do you like white cars with black wheels by any chance? :muttley:

For me mate the M4 I fell in love with from the very first test drive but then again I’m a sucker for anything new, the tech, interior etc etc. I think having two e92’s it was nice to have a complete change from buying yet another e92.

I had turbocharged cars before I moved to N/A with the beamers so I didn’t get those withdrawal symptoms of missing the V8 like some which was a brilliant engine I have to say.

I think the cars you have had the M4 probably just isn’t special enough for you. So I don’t think your missing anything, although I think you need to bite the bullet and at least sample one for a while. It maybe a case it’s just a slow burner which seems to be the case for most who have bought one.

As for sound the MPE sorts that out and I still think they’re the best looking out of the previous gens
