If I wanted to drive a diesel, I’d have become a farmer. Seems crazy when you look at things like Mercedes’ new 53-range of cars.

I can get onboard with a diesel SQ5 and SQ7 but not in compact exec. coupe. Why pay a premium over a 3.0 TDI S-Line. Fact is they obviously have no choice or they wouldnt have done it, regardless of how they try to spin it.

Volvo is the same. You can’t get any bigger than a 2 litre engine in a Volvo anymore, and they have committed no more combustion engines by mid 2020s I think.

Seems a strange thing to do when many motorists are moving away from diesel, if they had done it 10 years ago then I would have thought it was good business, but not now.
