Hi all, I'm from Newport/Abergavenny and have a 53 plate e46 m3 and want to get the subframe inspected before the 10 year period, can someone recommend an Independant garage who is not a million miles away from me
Also where do you all take your cars for work ect
    Thanks

Highly recommend Forzawest in Chepstow....Stuart was a BMW master Tech at Gloucester BMW and then set up on his own a few years back....He has worked for Ferrari/Maserati/TVR/Lotus so has loads of knowledge....

He looked after my CSL, M5 and now my E46 M3 and I wouldn't trust my cars to anyone else....

He has built up a great reputation and people come far and wide to use him....He is usually booked up 2 weeks in advance but worth the wait...Prices pretty good as well...

I used to live a couple of mins away from them, I have never used them personally but went in there when I had my E30 M3 to see about a service, I was put off by them telling me that I needed to have my timing chain replaced at a cost of roughly 4k and without this done my engine would literally scrap itself quite soon, this was all very well and interesting as I had called in there in my van so the car had not been seen, the service was carried out in the end by Moseley Motorsport in Telford as I was working by there at the time. Mosely are E30 M3 gods and used to prepare some of the touring cars back in the day, he inspected my chain, put an E36 tensioner on it and said all was fine and that the E30 M3 uses a twin chain not a single row like the M5.

Maybe I spoke to the wrong person when I called in ;-)

I have spoken to Simpson Motorsport and they sound very professional, that's where I will be going but a few including a friend of mine who's not on here from Newport have had good results from Forzawest in Chepstow

I live not far from them, but don't really know much about them or there reputation, I used the main dealer in Cardiff when I had my last BMW, that doesnt sound good though!!

Can't recomment Simpson Motorsport enough. Its the only place I take my car. The boys there really know their stuff. I live near Bridgend and always take my car there for work.

As above…Try Forza GB in Caldicot. They looked after my CSL and would trust them 100%. Not sure if they can do the remap but worth a call to Stuart there.
