Is anyone else trying to sell an audi at the moment? It seems to be utterly impossible. I have a 2013 Audi A3 s line 3dr in glacier white. Very nice car with only 75k and full audi service history.

It’s been forsale for 4 weeks now, hardly any interest at all. Pricing wise its up at 10500, checking auto trader mine as a 2.0 TDi is one of the cheapest with them miles nationally.

Anyone know the trade price on my car by any chance?

Not an Audi but i have a 2012 VW CC 2.0tdi and have had literally no interest. It's 1k less than similar one's also. Probably a few reasons. VAG diesels aren't looked at in a good light. Plus in london anything euro 5 and less will be charged to drive in london shortly. Everyone is probably trying to sell so plenty on the market

We buy any car £8875. Adding 1k to it, even then there’s none nationally with my miles at that money. Most have 90k.

I just want rid of the damn thing as its wasting space on my drive.

Oh wow, not just me then! Must be all of them. Does yours have £20 road tax? Not sure what euro mine is, but its £20 to tax. Guess i’ll have to just keep advertising. Had a couple of morons offer £8000 but would rather add 30k more miles to it, would still be worth more.

How many are for sale though ? Cheap or not....

I would bet there are loads....And they are the kind of car that nobody wants to put £10,000 into.

People would prefer £249 a month and have something new.

There’s not many at all 2.0 wise, some 1.6 tdi’s but the 2.0 aren’t common in that price bracket. Their just a daily nice car, that’s all I used it for.

You can’t get an Audi A3 a like for £250 a month sadly, if they want an Astra or a golf then that’s a good shout. But that type of buyer won’t be viewing used cars.

The 2nd hand car market just seems to be really slow at the moment, with only cars priced very keenly and ticking all the boxes seeming to go - and even then not guaranteed.
I'm after a 996 C4S and there are loads for sale and I have only seen the Cutters 996 Turbo actually sell, the rest are just hanging around.
All my friends now lease cars, rather than buy. Wouldn't have been considered 3 years ago.

Mine is £130 road tax. From 2013 they are the lower tax bracket. Yours is going to be euro 5 but it's pre 2015 so still couldn't go into london. I feel like running into the ground but its a nice car so it's a shame it won't sell!

id say £8875 is pretty good to be honest...... not what you want. But better than a drive way ornament. Plus your going keep running up autotrader advert costs, then the new reg cars will come out and it will drop in value, plus its a car so its always depreciating anyway, plus people are now wary of diesel. I've been in you position its painful, but you just gotta let go .

Agreed - take the offer and cut it loose

It's losing money all the time so if you want rid then take the bath and move on.

I've recently picked up a 2012 2.0 TDI Audi A3 sportback for the misses, I viewed about 4 before buying the 5th, there seems to be alot of poor examples about, but a couple of nice ones sold before i got the chance to view them.

I agree there are some poor examples about, mine isn’t one of them. I viewed a few too, it’s amazing how poor they become at only 5 years old.

    Freshly refurbed wheels
    Premium Goodyear tyres all round
    Full audi history etc

Sadly there isn’t a chance in the world that I will accept those sort of figures on it. I would rather add 25 k miles more to it which would take me 1 year. I might sell my 335d instead and run this to 100k and get rid then.

    Hi

Like houses, remember that every one for sale is actually one that hasn't sold yet, so saying your in the right ballpark as the crowd but with better miles is meaningless. The car will sell at what it is worth. And if it's not selling then it's either the wrong time or price.
Also search engines are finiky. If someone puts in search criteria of £5000-£10000 they won't even see your car at £10500, so you may have totally ruled out that person who might have been prepared to pay 10 grand from seeing your ad.
Finally don't forget to factor in insurance costs per month. I sold my 335 at £1000 less than I wanted, but saved £400++ in labour and the hassle of parting out and putting standard suspension etc back on. Around £90 per month in insurance until sold. And it wasn't worth crying over £500 as it meant I then had the cash to add to savings and buy current car that I would've missed otherwise.

Nothings really selling, its not your price necessarily. Bit like the housing market atm.

Car market usually picks up a bit after September i've been told.
