That is stunning!
Ugggg, I want!
Finally got my hands on a Duke in August. It was a bit of a change after 20 years of riding in-line 4’s but it was worth the swap.
Yep have 2 a 748s & 998
Loving the 748s!
Have that from new 15 years now ( 2004 )
Love your avatar
From new! That is amazing, so clean. And cheers, thats in my office at work so when ever I am bored or have a spare hour I take a few more bits off. Its a 748 which I am rebuilding slowly over time nearly ready to send the frame etc. off to be blasted and epoxy powder coated.
I come from Honda's really and bought the 748 because a friend at work was selling it cheap, rode it, broke down but fell in love with it so will ultimately sell the blade and keep the 748 for sunny days
Does this work?
Best bike I've ever had...
Few upgrades to this over the winter..
Looking forward to the spring sunshine!
I never ended up getting the V4S I 'bought' at the start of the year as it was ridden with faults and they couldn't actually end up delivering it! But ended up picking up a brand spanker 3 weeks ago.
Love it, already run in and first trackday done.
I had and 848, a 2008 with about 2000 miles on it when I bought it 6 years ago, full termi titanium exhaust, race ECU and air filter. Beautiful bike, not cheap to own, likes batteries, belts need doing every two years (According to service schedule) however people I have spoke to who do service them say the belts look brand new when removed.
A very noisy bike when the baffles were removed, and they always were, my local MOT place loved the sound.
Sold it to my son who still has it as I also have a R1200GS Adventure, and tbh I can corner just as fast on that (on the roads) as I could on the Duc, don't ever take one on in the twisties unless you are a competent rider, the beemer may just embarrass you.
I've had a few, first 2x pre-dating digital cameras......
1) One of the last 888 Strada's to leave the factory.
- Managed to get a wide bore, high exit Termi system and SP ECU for it
- Steel braided hoses
- Bit of carbon
Felt fast as my previous CBR600, very lumpy power delivery, very hard on the wrists.
Was a time before Ducati became a lifestyle brand and something like this (not my bike/pic).....
2) 916 Biposto
- Termi system
Much like this.......
3) Then after a break, a 1199 Panigale Tricolore
Nice snap from the garden in the sun......
Performance of this was pretty much beyond me, it really was bonkers, so god knows what the v4's are like.
Kept it for 2-years, then decided to retire from biking.
Safe innings over 20-years, no crashes and not knocked off.
Started working on my 748 SP this weekend, get it ready to hopefully put some miles on it in 2020!
Mine looks a bit different now, plenty of Evotech parts, GB Racing covers, CRC fairings, Puig Screen, and a spare set of forged wheels with slicks (not fitted yet). It's currently sat Bilbao port and I'm meeting it at Portimao on Wednesday, can't wait!!
Since the new V4 streetfighter is due out to soon, thought I would share a pic of the old one. It might be strating to knock on in age but its still a great bike. Here is hoping the new one lives upto expectations.
Ideally the new streetfighter will come in white too - would love to have both in the garage (trade in my multistrada for the V4 streetfighter).
