That's NOT going to work as it's virtually a new front end extending around to the front wings. Look it's like Brexit. You may not have liked it but it happened and you have to accept it. You would be throwing good money after bad with that as it would have to be a few grand. Don't buy one if you're already considering that. Pick a different car or keep the F8* as they are going back up.:)

Yup agree with this. TBH it reminds me of when everyone was getting pissy in 2013/4 saying they were going to stick M3 badges on their M4 because it was ruining the heritage......

    ......they didn't.

People need to stop pant wetting about the front end. I guarantee 99% people won't mod with an aftermarket bumper. An extended number plate holder body coloured will suffice and even then I bet very few will bother.

The amount of owners who will change the front end will be next to 0.1%, there will be no market for this .Companies are just using this for free marketing. It will cost 2-3k to change plus the colour match will likely be terrible. Most owners will be pcp. An easier solution is for BMW to sell black canards for the lower part of grill to disguise the bottom half of the grill. I am on the fence with the grill but like others I think the more you see on road you will get used to it.

The more you look at it the bottom version looks awful. The kidneys are far too small.:D

So just to clarify ..... You Buy a new car costing circa 80k ...... have the front end changed at god knows what extra cost ...... risk voiding warranty ..... potentially have issues with insurance as it’s clearly obvious it didn’t leave Germany like it ... plus we all know nothing EVER fits as good second time around so you’ll ruin the oem fit from factory that most of you will then moan about ..... All because of 2 plastic grills !

Surly easier to just stop looking at the G8x :D

There is only so much you can do to 'correct' the front because the whole front bumper piece is designed around the large grill front.
That redesign is not a great improvement as lack of border does not work on such small grills. The F8x grills really work well as they merge into the lights and are wider than they are taller, and aesthetically, performance car design leans towards width design elements rather than height elements.
I continue to observe with amusement anyway, as I have already decided that as and when I change it will be in the new M2, as the new shape 2 series looks very nice, and that design once given the M2 treatment will look extremely appealing.

Evolve have also put a small, likely ilegal plate on their render, in black!

Real world sh1te in other words.

These models will fly out and the previous versions will look dated very soon. The old style M buyer died some time ago, so it's a different market.

Most forums are 'old school' whatever the subject, however, those life-long M fans are a teeny weeny part of BMW's market.

I agree I'm not a massive fan of the incoming model, but it seems we have to move with the times or move to something else.

I think people bad mouth it to justify (to others) why they aren’t going to buy one.

    Some people, not everyone.

I bought my current 2019 M4CP with the sole intention to replace it with the LCI G82 M4 (the biggest draw for me was AWD), but I'm very disappointed with how the car looks from the front. That's not me trying to do some mental gymnastics of not really wanting to buy the car in the first place, just genuinely disappointed with the frontal design (bonnet/grill). Will I still buy one? Will wait to see if it grows on me because the rest of the car I love.
