Would it not me more cost effective for the end user (us lot) to do a G/B on a gallon of detail spray with a Big Yellow?

This week I found a whole new level of appreciation for Adams Polishes.

Allow me to explain and also apologies for my less than average spelling & grammar. Not my strong point.

    Anyway....

In the background for the past 6 months iv been doing a lot of products testing. And i mean A LOT of testing. Each range iv tested has been put through its paces in all weather conditions & i believe iv pushed each brand to there max ability.
Band names will not be mentioned however 10 where from the UK and 8 from the rest of the world.

    Starting with the UK products

Out of the 10 UK brands iv used i would only us/ recommend 2 of them & select number of there products.

Truth be told iv been spoilt with Adams Polishes for the past 7 years. It’s made me lazy to an extent, however i’ll come back to that point later on.

Also just to point out i use to be a professional detailer in this industry for a good chunk of time so i would say i have enough experience to post my views and overall findings. I did my due diligence on each brand, the correct ratio’s and product application where reached with all brands. Each brand was given the same fresh outlook each time and very similar testing conditions. Hot & Cold

I’m not going to go into major details here but these are my thoughts on the 10 UK brands & the rest of the world.

8 of the 10 UK Brands i just found hard to work with. Which for me caused a number of issues. The first being that i had no confidence in there abilities which made me rush my washing process even after a number of separate uses.

Rushing increase the risk of mistakes and the possibility of inflicting damage to your finish so this was alway in my mind. I’m lucky in the fact i have soft water so if you have hard water i can only imagine the pure hassle/stress this will cause when temperatures increase. Washing my car is meant to me my happy place, a place where my attention is fully focused on my pride & joy, not real life ****. I was not in a happy place for most of the time i can tell you that now. I’m pointing this out because it should have to be this way period.

Foams,Shampoos, waxes, quick details, glazes, polishes all dried far to fast leaving residues all over the panels. Half the time it made me re wash the car again (with adams blue shampoo) as these smears, residue etc where not removed in the rinse/drying process.

Iv NEVER used so many plush microfibres for product removal. The detail sprays were awful to work with. They smeared terribly, yes after all the faffing with removing & buffing the gloss was nice however is it worth all the positive contact on the paint plus the extra work, not to mention a small army of Microfibres used & washed. The answer is NO.........not a chance.

To add to this many bottles cracked, spray heads broke left right and centre at critical times in the washing process. Very Very disappointed in the UK’s offerings considering we are meant to be leading this industry. It’s not all bad news tho some hidden gems have come to light with 2 brands in particular impressing me a lot.

Onto the rest of the world. Most where OK but not enough to warrant a mention imo or a slot in the new prestige store. Some standout products will be highlight over the next few months for you guys tho. Some BIG BIG brands fell massive short from the rest of the world collection.

A few USA brands have really impressed me tho including one German brand. One brand in particular surprised the hell out of me because i could use them in the same extreme condition as Adams Polish which is a BIG thing.

Coming back to my point at the start of my findings. Have i become Lazy ?!

No. No i haven’t. We pay a lot of money for our products, some should have that word “Premium” completely removed from there branding because they are less than premium imho.
I want my products to do exactly what they say on the tin. I want to have complete confidence in what they do & how they work. They should make my life simple & straight forward with little to no hassle, not to mention outstanding results that speak for themselves.

Minimal amount of work & maximum impact is what your premium chemicals SHOULD be delivering you because its what we pay for at the end of the day.

Moving forward to the future i’m happy to announce you will be seeing a number of brands added to our new website later this November. I have hand picked every brand & product so you don’t have too.

Thank you for reading & thank you for business.

Keep up the awesome work dude. I’m really looking towards to what you have in store for us. I used some of the hand revive the other day on my newly acquired R36 and wow that stuff was amazing. Super easy to apply. And even easier to remove. And it left the paint ready for my wax giving it the best chance of adhesion and longevity. I have no doubt what you are bringing to the party is going to be just as amazing.

Thanks again for advice you’ve given. And products you supplied.

    Craig.

Big shout to you mate for your efforts, obviously I like many others I’m sure listen to what people like yourself recommend after their experiences with other products, so hearing your thoughts on what you have tried reassures me that using Adams products as I have now for a number of years is the correct path to be on and will continue to be, and obviously looking forward to what’s new on the website to ruin my bank balance but at he same time keep that Saturday smile of satisfaction.
    Good job:thumbsup:
